THE WEDDING OF MAGGIE & BRITTON

A little about Maggie & Britton. They are the sweetest couple with a true love for Christ. They are focused on being intentional with all things and want to love on all people. They are kind, passionate, loving, caring, supportive, genuine and all around just great people!

THE ENGAGEMENT

In the words of Maggie and Britton “when you know, you know.”

Maggie was working for a videographer and decided to message Britton to set up a music video..three years later she finally received a response. Instead of a music video she got a husband.

Their story is beautiful and unique to them.

THE WEDDING DAY

Maggie and Britton wanted their ceremony to be white, pure and elegant. Then, as they transitioned to the reception, they wanted a burst of color with the bright florals. They wanted it to symbolize how, through His grace, God has cleansed us and invited us into a vibrant, celebratory relationship with Him.

THE VENUE

Daniels Ridge is nestled in the quiet countryside of Lee County.  The ceremony location is a small opening amidst tall pine trees with a walkway leading to the opening.  The main reception space has beautiful shiplap walls, stained plank cathedral ceiling with lots of natural light.  Outdoor patio is perfect for cocktail hour with a large backyard for outdoor seating.  We transformed the space by adding a clear tent with no sides to the ceremony space to give a structure yet elegant feel.  And we brought in the pops of color in linens and flowers that paired perfectly with the white shiplap walls inside the main barn.

NICOLE’S PERSPECTIVE

Maggie & Britton had the most intentional wedding we’ve ever created. Britton recorded all the music played during the ceremony, so Maggie got to walk down the aisle to a medley of Oceans/Yeshua/Eden to Eternity. Their officiant (Josh Carter) read Scripture and shared excerpts from their shared journal. Maggie & Britton’s grandmas were the flower girls. Both their brothers were the Best Man and Man of Honor. Britton’s Dad was the Ring Bearer. She walked down the aisle with a Blusher Veil. We haven’t seen one of those in a while. The tie Britton wore was a tie that Maggie picked out in high school and prayed over it daily for her husband. They wrote the most precious vows. They did communion together and read from their family bible along with worship to one of their favorite songs, Glory to Glory. They included many elements of their wedding that were so intentional and created with purpose. We had a flower cart where the guests could make their own flower bouquet. Britton included his musician friends to sing & perform in all aspects of the wedding from the ceremony to cocktail hour to the reception. She chose to do a first look with her Dad, her Brother, her Uncle and her father-in-law and brother-in-law. Dinner was a plated meal by Rocky Top and homemade pound cakes made by Maggie’s Grandma! Maggie did a dress change into a short white cocktail dress adorned with a beautiful big bow on the back. DJ Bill Freeman kept the dance floor packed with a lot of Maggie & Britton’s favorites along with Britton, Kelly Kidd, and Redd Carter putting on a show. We ended the night with a sparkler send off with Maggie & Britton departing into the night in a classic Rolls Royce! And to top off the evening, UNC Basketball won the Final Four, which is Maggie’s Alma Mater. Hence why we had Carolina Blue & White linens.
